Crane Types & The Modular Concept

Overhead Cranes

Overhead cranes are utilised in material handling during the process of manufacturing. Modular Cranes offer three different overhead cranes to suit different building types and workload requirements including the single girder top running overhead crane, the single girder underslung overhead crane and the double girder top running overhead crane. The success of the Modular Concept has meant that Modular Cranes now offers overhead cranes ranging from 500kg to 100 Tonne capacities in a Modular Package.

Workstation Cranes

Workstation cranes are easily extended and relocated for manual handling, often within work cells where there is a sole operator. There are two types of workstation cranes offered by Modular Cranes: ceiling mounted and free-standing workstation cranes, with a choice of manual or electric chain hoists.

Gantry Cranes

Gantry Cranes consist of a two legged A-frame support with cantilevers and are mostly utilised for outdoor processing. There are two types of gantry cranes offered by Modular Cranes: single girder gantry cranes and double girder gantry cranes.

Jib Cranes

Jib Cranes are ideal for low-cost lifting, and are utilised for effective material handling within a plant. Modular Cranes offer several types of jib cranes including: top braced wall-mounted, top braced free-standing, under braced wall-mounted and under braced free-standing.

Electric Chain Hoists

Modular Cranes also offer electric chain hoists and trolleys, allowing for standard and special applications. The modular concept is utilised to offer a complete package solution using collective element assembly, which better satisfies client requirements.  With electric chain hoists a compact motor and gearbox combination is utilised, to achieve maximum hook lift.  There are four types of electric chain hoists, including a fixed hoist, hoist with a push trolley, hoist with a motorised trolley and a low headroom hoist.

Electric Wire Rope Hoists

Electric wire rope hoists from Modular Cranes are unique, offering many benefits to the user in the form of intelligent design for easy load handling, impressive performance and exceptional safety levels. There are three different types of electric wire rope hoists: the fixed hoist, low headroom hoist for single girder cranes and the top running hoist for double girder cranes.

Radio Control Systems

Radio control systems are available from Modular Cranes as part of a package or for upgrading an existing system. Each radio control system includes a handset, a pre-wired receiver unit, a manual, carrying strap, nylon protective cases and a spare handset power key.
